IPAC SAC Automatic Drain Traps

PRODUCTSTYLERATINGTYPE
Drain TrapFloat / Lever230 PSIGAutomatic

Every aftercooler and separator needs somewhere for the water to go. The SAC trap collects condensate in a float chamber and discharges it automatically as the float rises, without losing compressed air. Discharge is upward, so the trap can sit below the separator and lift the condensate to a drain line. An external hand valve lets the operator blow the trap down without taking it apart, and an optional vent adapter equalises pressure where the trap is fed from a long drain leg.

Construction

SAC120

  • 1/2 inch FPT aluminum body, 1.9 lb, for systems up to about 500 CFM. This is the trap paired with every A Series air-cooled aftercooler and every separator through the S07.

SAC100

  • 1 inch FPT aluminum body, 4.2 lb, for systems above 500 CFM and the S08 separator and larger.

SAC010

  • Stainless steel body for corrosive condensate and high-pressure systems. Call us for the pressure class.

Options

  • Vent adapter, cast iron body at 230 PSIG, carbon steel bodies to 1,010 PSIG.

Why an automatic trap

A separator that is not drained is a separator that is not working

  • Discharges condensate without venting compressed air
  • Upward discharge lifts to a drain line
