The vertical separator carries the same centrifugal internals as the horizontal S-H range - fixed impeller, anti-re-entrainment baffle, no moving parts - in a vessel arranged for a rising pipe. Air enters at the side, spins down through the impeller, and leaves through the top while the water collects in the sump below. Vertical units suit compressor rooms where the aftercooler discharge turns upward to a header, and installations where floor space is tighter than height.

Construction

Body

  • Heavy-gauge fabricated steel with 150# flanged connections from 2-1/2 to 10 inches. Stainless steel available.

Internals

  • Fixed impeller and baffle identical to the horizontal range, so performance figures carry across size for size.

Connections

  • Inlet and outlet are the same size through the S06V; from the S07V up the inlet is one size larger than the outlet to keep entry velocity down.

Drain

  • Bottom sump with a threaded drain for the SAC120 (S04V-S07V) or SAC100 (S08V, S09V) trap.
